We're creating a new generation of stabilised earth bricks and rammed earth walls in a more sustainable way without the addition of cement or lime.

For Road Construction

We're creating modern equivalent, sustainable and economical, and less resource demanding pavement designs based on performance gains in chemically treated soils.

We're creating highly water resistant stabilised soils to support sustainable dam construction and remediation.

We make collaboration easy and affordable.From short-term testing to determine the suitability of materials to deep engagements that take you on a journey from lab to commercial production, we make it easy for industry participants to collaborate with the program.Terra System invites industry participation in the Program to support the discovery of suitability for a given use case of soils stabilised using Terra System products and construction methodologies.There are 3 tranches to the research:1. Classification of candidate soils and geotechnical performance of untreated and treated soils2. Development of Performance Specification for treated candidate material for focus use cases3. Development of reference designs based on product performance and construction methodologies to assist in the development of whitepapers, theses, software models, and collateralAll underpinned by our core research to validate of product features and construction outcomes via the adaption of standardised testing methodologies and establishment of highly repeatable, accurate and inexpensive test regimes for lab, field and factory use.

Engineered Fills

We're transforming resource recovered soils, waste soils and quarry overburdens into engineered fills for sustainable civil construction.We're pushing the boundaries performance improvement in poorly performing soils.Re-purposing of waste soils to match construction specifications for engineering fills, base-grades and sub-grades creates increased value and market opportunities for resource owners. It even enables an opportunity to increase quarry life.We're replacing traditional binders with high embodied carbon such as cement and lime with environmentally friendly and carbon neutral alternatives.There are a great many opportunities to explore in this area.

Economic Opportunity

The push to net zero has implications for every input to the civil construction industry. Avoidance of materials with high embodied carbon, the increasing scarcity of premium quarried materials, and changing attitudes to the management of waste streams are creating value-added opportunities for engineered-fills and treatment of poorly performing in-situ materials.

-Preserve Premium Quarry Stocks and therefore extend the life of quarries.
-Greater re-use resource recovery streams
